I love this photo, the comment and the border. Wonderful!

At this time of year I find myself remembering the oktoberfest celebrations in waterloo, ontario every year: they have a strong german tradition, so it's a big thing there.

Mind you, I have to say I prefer british beer, though I would not usually turn down a bavarian one.

Michele sent me,
N.

Michele sent me to have you make me feel better for begining Halloween preparations already- if you can celebrate Oktoberfest- I can start thinking about Halloween!

Congratulations on resisting to use the word "loompa".
Visiting from Michele's place.

I LOVE the spirit of this haiga, Shane. They used to have an oompah band play after every Montreal Expos game. I was too young to drink beer, but I'll never forget what it felt like to be there. The sights and sounds were so rich. Just like your work!

Popped by from Michele's this aft.

Does the tuba's oompah really enhance the flavor of Bavarian brew? :D

what makes it funny is that I googled "oompah" after the fact and was surprised to see that the music is often referred to as Bavarian oompah music.

and yes, it does enhance the flavor

HAHA! What a fantastic picture! I love Oktoberfest--I'm a large part German, although I've been disowned because I don't like beer. :)
I love it when Michele sends me here.

This is a great shot. Is it really a picture of you? I can see I need to have a look around. I love the way "oompah" rolls smoothly off the tongue. Great word! Have a wonderful weekend and I hope you enjoy the Bavarian Beer.

Michele said to say hi, and now if you don't mind, I think I'm going to have a look around.

BTW..thanks for stopping by my place. I hope to see you again soon.

LOVE this Shane...! Very inventive!

About Gordon and the selling of his boat: I don'think having to sell the 31 footer is a good thing for him because it reminds him that he is unable to enjoy it as he did when he was younger and less infirm...it has rather, deprressed him...But buying "Little Boat" has perked him up considerably...He is really excited, once again!

I'll drink to that! ;-)

Hey what happened to my previous comment? Blogger ate it up?

:(

That means I comment twice! I like this haiga very much. No wonder Michele sent me back again.

Hello, Shane, Michele sent me. I like your work. I'm now going to spend a little quality time with your blog archive instead of paying bills (MUCH, much more fun).
